Considering only appearance and size, seat is a suitable replacement for a Cub Cadet model 1862 seat. However, You will need to drill new holes in the Cub Cadet’s seat mounting plate to make the replacement seat fit.There are few things that I purchase that just fit. This is one of them. The seat bolted directly on my 1998 Cub Cadet 1515.I bought the seat because it said it would fit the bolt pattern of my 1541.Well it is totally different and now I will have to drill new holes and make spacers to make it work at all.VERY Dissatisfied.I have sent email to this problem with no response from you.Very easyThe holes for the seat mounting dimensions are too far forward and aft to fit on the mounting brackets of the 782 cub cadet. I will have to fiddle with this to make it work, but it is NOT an equivalent part to the 759-3149 as called out in the description.
