My old belt was worn out and finally snapped when the mechanism got stuck. Replaced it with this one and it works with no issues. Note: I found many manuals that involve taking the mower deck off to mount the belt. This is not necessary, I did it without that. Took the opportunity to do a through cleaning of the deck which was badly needed and now everything works well and as intended.
