My old wooden folding adirondaks were needing more TLC than I could give them. In buying these two I lost that sense of sturdiness wood gives. However, I like the versatility and lighter feel for now. And, these are a little lighter and easier to move around. The pre-assembled arms immediately need some repair...in lightly pulling up on them once the chair was fully assembled; a couple arms pulled right up and out from where they were screwed. I like they are made of recycled plastic. However, the plastic isn't solid and strong enough without glue or other reinforcement. I like the bright color and hope it really doesn't fade. The no repainting feature works for me; I need less maintenance. Overall a litter expensive for plastic but a stronger feel than a plastic molded chair.These are shorter than regular Adirondack chairs. Fine. The pin to put in the side to keep it sturdy- impossible to line up. Forget about it. Took me about a half hour each for these (bought two). I used my own tools. Construction is good. Folds easily. I wish they were more navy but suit my needs to just have a couple extra when big groups come over. Pic is next to me real chairs.This chair is great if you are looking for a low cost adirondack chair. Next time I would spend the extra money to get a higher quality chair.After trying to put these chairs together and failing I was going to send them back. My husband pulled them back out of the box and put them together and it was still quite difficult. In fact, they lean back so far that it doesn’t make sense and they aren’t real stable.I have them up against the back of our house in a patio so I just stuck them up against the wall and they work OK that way because it seems to hold them in a more upright position. They actually set comfortably I just can’t have them anywhere because the wall is holding them in the right position. For these reasons, I would not buy them again…I ordered navy blue and what I got looks like a chair that was originally medium blue and was poorly or partially spray painted a darker blue. The arms and front legs are darker than the rest of the chair which adds to the bizarre coloring. I hate returning large bulky items otherwise these would have gone back. The chairs are well made and pretty simple to assemble.Perfect around the firepit..I love them but wishing I would of gotten cup holders..arms are a little slickWe purchased a Navy chair and it is not Navy, more like Cobalt. Upon assembly, the arms came unscrewed and I had to replace them. Next time I will spend more money on a better chair. These are made in China and the quality is inferior.Wanted folding Adirondacks that weren’t too expense, these seem to fit the bill. Easy to put together, although needed the hubs for the back seat assembly. I did replace 8 bolts that came with the chair with shorter bolts from my local hardware store so there wouldn’t be any “excess” bolt sticking out beyond the nut. It created a cleaner look in the back of the chairs. They are sturdy and comfy!
